Pastor Jason & Melissa Kinney
Greetings from Pastor Jason!
I grew up in a Christian home on a small acreage southwest of Marshalltown, Iowa where we attended a local Baptist church throughout my school years. I knew about Jesus and His love from a very young age and I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior when I was 12 years old but wasn't baptized until I was 21.
Melissa, my beautiful wife, grew up in a Christian home also. Her family lived in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and even Germany when she was growing up. Melissa was saved at age 9 and baptized shortly after that. She started serving in her church at a young age...riding with her Grandpa and helping with the kids on the church bus.
Melissa and I met through a mutual friend when I was 20 and she was 18 and 3 months after we met, we were married. Now some 30 years and 5 kids later, we can honestly say that we are still very happily married and love serving God together.
I have served as a Youth Pastor/Leader for over 25 years and still love youth and their vibrant spirit. Melissa has helped me with youth but also loves to serve in children's ministries. Before coming to St Paul's we served as House Parents in a boys home and I served as a Mobile Camp Director. We also have served in many local community ministries.
After serving mainly youth, God directed our lives to St Paul's and for me to serve as their Senior Pastor. I began my ministry here in March of 2019 and have been blessed by such a loving church family. We call it our family because St Paul's is truly that....a family...and we embrace and love all who come through our doors. We will pray for, help and encourage you in whatever way we can.
I would love to get to know you and your family better and invite you to visit us.
--GOD BLESS.....PASTOR JASON
